A safe space for conversation.
Kidango Inspired Discussions (KID) provides an environment for our Kidango family to freely discuss their feelings, concerns, and ideas in an open and safe forum surrounding social justice issues or day-to-day experiences. By hosting these discussions, we aim to strengthen our community by creating an inclusive place where we can learn from each other.

Grover
Brief Bio: Hello friends, I’m Grover! I’m a blue monster that is lovable, cute, and furry. You may also know me as the semi-secret super hero, Super-Grover. Even though I’m faster than lightning, stronger than steel, and smarter than a speeding bullet, sometimes I have my feelings hurt when people call me “the blue Elmo”. I think that we all want to be seen and validated as the monsters we are, which is why I’m looking forward to speaking with you on these topics.

Oscar the Grouch
Brief Bio: Hi everybody, I’m Oscar and I love trash. A lot of people throw away items that they think are useless but I think are useful and still full of life. I think it’s important to talk about misconceptions we have about trash, and each other. People often mistake me as a “grouch” due to my interactions with others when in reality I’m a species that just happens to share the term “Grouch”. Do you want to open up about misconceptions or biases? Join me for some “trash talk” where we openly share about our unique perspectives.

Big Bird
Brief Bio: Hi I’m Big Bird, I’m an eight-foot two-inch tall bright yellow anthropomorphic bird that loves bringing joy to others and helping kids. On my spare time I like to roller skate, ice skate, dance, swim, sing, write poetry, draw, and ride a unicycle. I think it’s important to talk about the things that make us happy, scared, uncomfortable, and everything in between. I’m excited to to join Kidango Inspired Discussions and look forward to having some great talks!
