Catherine is an attorney and social impact entrepreneur with a track record of creating innovative solutions at the intersection of policy and technology that level the playing field and build thriving communities.
In 2015 she launched the Early Learning Lab, an initiative to catalyze the development and widespread adoption of technology solutions that unlock the power of parents, caregivers and teachers to foster children’s success. She has driven major early childhood program and financing reforms while leading Early Edge California and acted as a Senior Advisor to the David and Lucile Packard Foundation. Prior to her work in early childhood education she spent more than a decade in California and on Capitol Hill focused on economic development and housing policy and legislation. She graduated from Stanford University and holds a law degree from Berkeley School of Law and a master’s degree in Urban Planning from UCLA.
She and her husband Michael have two children, a tenth grader and recent high school graduate and live in the Oakland, California.
