Community Family Services

[En Español]

Kidango’s Community Family Services (CFS) program contracts with Family Child Care Home Education Network (FCCHEN) providers to provide child development services to low income families in Santa Clara County. Community Family Services has served children and families in Santa Clara County for over 36 years and has an outstanding reputation.

The FCCHEN providers offer quality programs with licensed teachers, certified in CPR and First Aid. Each family child care home is unique and provides children with a safe learning environment with personalized attention.

Many of the providers offer bilingual programs where teachers constantly shift from speaking English to Spanish. Additionally, the curriculum is age-appropriate and is influenced by the structural and cultural background of each child’s family.

In addition to supporting and coordinating care in home-based settings, CFS has developed the following service areas:

  • An expanded child development and education component in which every child has access to, and participates in, developmentally appropriate learning activities.
  • Family focused programs as the nucleus to encouraging parent/caregiver leadership and learning.
  • Social services and health services to assist families and children.
  • Professional development as key for staff and providers to meet the high standards set by Kidango.
