School Age Care (Kindergarten – 12 years)

[En Español]

Kidango is committed to providing a quality program for school-age children (grades K-5) that promotes growth and learning in a positive, safe environment.

We believe that healthy relationships are the key to helping children develop positive self-esteem, creativity, strength and compassion. Our school-age program unites children, their families, Kidango staff, elementary school teachers and the community at large to accomplish this goal. In our school-age centers, children are cared for in an environment which incorporates both individual and group activities. In the group activities, the children have the opportunity to work in large or small group settings with children their age. The activities stimulate growth in the areas of literacy, the arts, physical development, science and much more. Our environment is structured for children to learn through methods such as exploration, use of critical thinking skills, and development of social emotional skills.

We invite families and community members to participate in our school-age programs. Through partnerships with community groups, children take advantage of field trips, guest speakers and opportunities to learn more about the community and the world they live in. Life skills and the need to care for one’s environment are also a focus of the provided learning opportunities offered in Kidango’s school-age programs.
