Our Nutrition Philosophy and Program | Kidango

Our Philosophy

Early childhood nutrition has sweeping effects on long-term public health. Children are at a disadvantage throughout their lives if they have unhealthy eating habits and a low-nutrient diet.

Food matters

Improving the long-term health of our community by nourishing children today.

We are all familiar with the age-old adage: you are what you eat.  At Kidango, we know what we put into our bodies matters. Providing young children access to nutritious foods at a time when their brains are undergoing rapid development supports their cognitive and physical development, and helps establish eating patterns that can lead to a lifetime of healthy habits.

The Nutrition program ensures all students have access to a wide variety of fresh, nutritious foods every day. All meals at Kidango centers are provided free-of-charge to families.

Kidango is a registered member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and strictly adheres to the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act for our high nutritional standards.
