Volunteer at Kidango

Taster's Showcase planning begins months in advance and it is only possible through the efforts of many volunteers. There are many jobs available, large and small, so there is one that is right for you!

There are 6 sub-committees working on different components of the event:

  • Sponsors
  • Auction and Drawing
  • Vendors
  • Media
  • Ticket Sales
  • Logistics
Each committee needs help before the event, making phone calls, dropping off and picking things up, organizing materials and a host of other jobs.

In addition, there are many jobs the day of the event such as pouring wine, serving food, selling tickets and helping set up and clean up.

This year we want to add some new features so we are looking for some volunteers to help with the following:
  • Cooking demonstrations - find a chef of a local restaurant or catering company who would be willing to do one or more cooking demonstrations at the event.
  • Cook book signing - find a local cook book author who would be willing to sign books for an hour or more.
  • Food or ice carving demonstrations - find a talented carver who can demonstrate decorative food or ice carvings.
