Building a Foundation for Kidango

All children deserve a strong foundation and support system as they navigate their way through life. For over 30 years, Kidango has been a champion of children and families throughout the Bay Area, providing early education and school age programs, Head Start services for children living in poverty and early intervention and mental health services for children with special needs.

Show your support for early childhood education by supporting Kidango's Building a Foundation fundraiser today!

As a Building a Foundation Sponsor, you will receive one 6" x 6" ceramic tile for every $100 you donate to Kidango. This tile is yours to hand paint and will eventually be displayed permanently at our Kidango Rix Child Development Center in Fremont, California (Kidango's first center that opened in 1979).

Each year, Kidango helps prepare more than 2,500 children for school and lifelong success. Your sponsorship will help support Kidango's strong foundation, even during difficult economic times. Our goal is to sell 500 tiles that will be displayed together to create a beautiful tapestry and be a testament to the generosity of our community for generations to come.

As a $100 Building a Foundation Sponsor, you will receive one tile and help ensure that the children in one of our centers have a variety of age-appropriate books to help develop their early literacy skills and becomes a lifelong learner.
As a $300 Building a Foundation Sponsor, you will receive three tiles plus a fourth tile for free (limited time offer). Through your sponsorship you will help ensure that a child with a special need has the specially designed equipment she needs for optimal development.
As a $500 Building a Foundation Sponsor, you will receive 5 tiles and help ensure that a Kidango classroom has the resources they need to take the children on field trips during the summer that will open their eyes to new worlds and experiences.
As a $1000 Building a Foundation Sponsor, you will receive 10 tiles and help ensure that a classroom of children and their parents can participate in our health education workshops that provide strategies to help families incorporate physical activity and nutritious eating habits into their lives to prevent childhood obesity.

To become a Building a Foundation Sponsor, simply follow this link to our secured site and complete the sponsorship form. Once on our site, please indicate your sponsorship level and if you would like to paint the tile during a special painting party to be held at our Rix Center located at 43100 Isle Royal Street in Fremont on Saturday, September 25 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Or you can choose to paint your tile(s) at the Color Me Mine studio located at 43301 Mission Blvd in Fremont between September 19 - October 2, 2010. You may also donate the tile directly to us and we will have one of the children enrolled in our program paint the tile for you. Simply indicate your preference on the form.
