Instructions and Deadlines

Santa Clara CARES 2.0

Applications for CARES are accepted on an on-going basis.

Please read the Santa Clara CARES 2.0 Program Summary for complete information regarding the process and minimum requirements.

General Overview

  1. Complete an Enrollment Form.
  2. Develop a Professional Development & Education Plan (PDEP) or update your existing PDEP with a CARES 2.0 College Representative.
  3. Receive a Participant Summary, which outlines the requirements to be completed and the specific courses eligible for stipend.
  4. Upon completion of requirements and coursework, meet with your college representative to have your PDEP updated and stipend request submitted for approval and payment.
    • Course must be completed with a "C" grade or higher.
    • Participants must have worked consistently within the same program for at least 15 hours per week for at least 9 months.
  5. Complete an Employment Verification Form and a W-9 Form.
